First Aid at Work Blended Course

Our Blended Course allows you to save money by combining online and classroom training, ensuring comprehensive first aid skills and knowledge.

Who should attend?

This course is ideal for higher-risk workplaces such as light engineering and assembly, food processing, warehousing, construction, chemical manufacturing, and environments involving extensive use of dangerous machinery or sharp instruments. It is designed to meet the full HSE requirements for the statutory FAW (First Aid at Work) qualification, ensuring that staff are equipped with the necessary first aid skills identified through risk assessments.

How long is the First Aid at Work Blended Course?

Our Blended Course includes 6 hours of online training followed by a 2-day practical session at our Oldham training centre or at your workplace.

The practical session lasts six hours, starting promptly at 9 am and finishing at 3 pm.
*Please arrive at least 15 minutes prior to the start time.*

What topics are covered in a First Aid at Work Blended Course?

  • Handling Choking, Seizures, and Severe Bleeding

  • Treating Anaphylaxis, Fractures, Dislocations
  • Addressing Drowning, Extreme Temperatures
  • Heart-Related Conditions, Poisoning, Sepsis, Stroke, Asthma
  • Diabetes
  • Managing Abdominal & Chest Injuries, Head Injuries
  • Sprains & Strains, Bites & Stings
  • Electric Shock, Fainting & Panic Attacks and more

How does the assessment work?

After being taught throughout the course, there will be a range of methods used to demonstrate your knowledge and practical skills, including practical real-life scenario examples and questioning. The final examination will be a mix of multiple choice and open questions.

Upon successful completion of this course, each delegate will have the knowledge, confidence, and certification to be a responsible First Aider in their workplace.

How long does my certification last?

Your First Aid at Work Blended Course certificate will expire three years after the date of completion.
